Hoffman Terrace | 1949
25th St and Glenrosa Ave
The original plans for Hoffman Terrace originated just one block west in Manana Vista in 1949, and then quickly spread across Phoenix, Albuquerque and Denver through the early 1950s as part of F&S Construction's popular and affordable Hoffmantowns.
Out of all the Hoffmantowns surveyed by Modern Phoenix in 2020-21, Hoffman Terrace probably has the highest percentage of highly modified and thereby non-contributing properties, should this neighborhood choose to pursue historic designation. Modifications range from second stories and bump-outs, to chimenys and carports, and the more innocuous and reversible application of paint or standing seam roof material.
